The 271HD wood baseball bat is a great option for the singles and doubles hitter who values a fast swing. Like our BB71, JK5 or any 271 model, our 271 HD wooden baseball bat has a shorter barrel length (versus a gap or power hitter's bat) to insure that bat speed is placed at a premium, in order to catch up to any pitch.

Very gripable, with a standard handle diameter (great for those with average size hands) and slightly flared knob (just enough to rest your hand on) you will be knocking past the infielders and in to the gaps with ease. And with the HD version of this 271 wood bat, you'll get some extra durability for those times you don't hit it just right. This makes the 271HD a great choice for those new to swinging wood or for the high schooler who has just moved up from a youth transition bat, like our DR100 and DR5S.

All HD wooden bat models are crafted from the same high quality maple and birch woods as our other standard and pro wood bat models. To gain extra durability without sacrificing pop, the tweaked barrel is offset by the wood being denser (ie. harder). Denser wood equals a stronger bat and more energy transferred to the ball. Drive it in to the gaps with the 271HD wood baseball bat.

The Phoenix Difference

Phoenix Bats has been crafting wood bats outside of Columbus, Ohio since 1996, and our baseball bats have been approved for pro players since 2000. Phoenix Bats starts by purchasing only pro-grade wood to deliver a quality bat to you and pros alike. Our bats are only made from American top-grade woods like rock maple, yellow birch and northern white ash.
