Civil War Replica Early Base Ball Bat Circa 1850 – 1890’s:  Also known as Civil War Era bat, the simple origins of baseball can be seen in this profile which features a very shallow taper from a straight barrel to a thick handle with a very subtle flair instead of a true knob.

Acorn Replica Early Baseball Bat Circa 1870’s: Called an “acorn” bat because of the decorative profile of the knob, this replica maintains the shallow taper of a straight barrel bat and thick handle of earlier bat profiles.

Browning Replica Early Baseball Bat Circa 1880’s:  With a near-conical taper from barrel to knob, this profile has no true transition from barrel to handle.  The taper provides a progressively slimmer handle as it approaches a true knob, rather than a handle flair.

Lajoie Replica Early Baseball Bat Circa 1904:  Popularized by Hall of Famer Napoleon Lajoie, the split-grip bat was used in both practice and play, and was an experiment in increasing the batter’s accuracy.
